We are a small breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs and we breed in accordance to the American Shetland Sheepdog Association standard which can be found at http://www.assa.org/standard.html. We put extreme emphasis on the whole sheltie and that includes the temperament. Any male or female that does not have a stable, lovable, and easy to live with temperament will not be incorporated into our breeding program!
At Wyndeway, we register our shelties in our breeding program with AKC, CKC, UKC and IABCA. I have been showing and breeding shelties for over 30 years. I have shown them in Agility, Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Herding Competitions in AKC/ CKC/ UKC/ IABCA Dog Shows. Presently I show in Conformation, Rally, Obedience and all types of CGC events at AKC/ CKC/ UKC/ IABCA events as well as American Shetland Sheepdog Association and Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Nationals.

The most important aspect of our shelties is that they are family companions first and they live in the house with us at all times. In addition to dog shows, we also try to get CGCs and even TDIs on some of our shelties here. This is important to us because I am an AKC registered CGC Instructor/Tester, CGCA Instructor/Tester, CGCU Instructor/ Tester, S.T.A.R. Puppy Instructor/Tester, Trick Dog Tester, ATT Judge, Farm Dog Judge. I am available for classes and testing. Just give me an e-mail.

We are located in Alexandria Bay, NY, USA which is approximately 90 miles north of Syracuse, NY and just 5 minutes from the Saint Lawrence River as well as 15 minutes from the Canadian Border. We are situated out in the country on 800-acres of open fields, pastures, ponds, streams and forest. We have a 1/4-acre fenced play yard for our shelties to run and play in. We take advantage of the open fields where we take our dogs for daily walks (off lead and as a group). All our shelties are home raised and are an important part of our family. By choice we try to limit our numbers to 6 shelties or less so that each one can get the attention they so deserve since we know shelties can be a bit demanding when it comes to wanting personal attention.
